The illustrated class discusses the work of French sculptor Camille Claudel (1864-1943) whose work has at last emerged from the shadow of Auguste Rodin, her famous collaborator, mentor and romantic partner. Art historian Jeff Mishur discusses a variety of her work, including The Waltz and The Age of Maturity, as well as her contributions to large scale Rodin commissions such as The Burghers of Calais and The Gates of Hell.
