September 1939, the German commerce raider pocket battleship Graf Spee is already out in the ocean and attacking British merchant ships. Join John Moore as he discusses how the British Navy conducted a desperate search to find the powerful warship culminating in the first naval battle of WWII, the Battle of River Plate off South America.

John Moore will be presenting in the Library.
