Program Description

Event Details

John Moore shares how President Andrew Jackson tries to remove five Indian tribes from the US Southeast west to the Oklahoma territory, but the Cherokee tribe fights their removal in the courts.  In the end, their legal defeat will result in the infamous “Trail of Tears” in 1838.

John Moore will be presenting from the library's event room.
