Friends of the Library

The "Friends of the Library" is a group of concerned patrons who are interested in the expansion of library services to the community. Organized in 1984, their financial assistance through the years has enabled the Library to add services that would not otherwise have been possible.

These contributions have included our art hanging system in the lobby, seasonal flowers that surround the lobby fountain, sponsorship of programs and concerts for patrons, prizes for our reading programs, and two AWE Literacy Stations in the Youth Services Department.

Membership dues, plus money received through used book sales throughout the year, and via the "Friends' Book Nook" bookstore located around the corner from the Circulation Desk, help in the purchase of important materials which are beyond the confines of the regular operating costs of the Library.

Annual membership fees are $5.00/Individual and $10.00/Family.
